"Listen to me, Cookieville!" Smokey announced, feeling a new energy surge through him. "We will bring down the Mothership, and I promise you I will lose my last life if it means we're free."

Smokey suddenly realized the oath he had just made and shuddered at the mere thought of it.

Can I even promise them that? Smokey asked himself silently.

"Well, if no one else is going to take a stand, I'll defend Cookieville with you, Smokey," Felix said, standing next to Mr. Beans.

"And me," Bo agreed.

"Count me in!" another cat chimed in.

And like that, dozens of the Cookieville cats began promising they would fight off the alien cats.
