Have you ever seen a Wildland fire burning near you or on the news? As you may know there are Wildland firefighters trying to extinguish the flames on these fires. Have you ever wondered why these many men and women do the work they have chosen? They are not just Wildland Firefighters they are just people who are doing a job.

I am one of those Wildland Firefighters. I have worked for the United States Forest Service for the last 24 years. I have taken some time to tell my story of how I started my career, what jobs I have had and where I am currently at. I want to share my personal insight of my career.
