I'm not like most bareback bronc riders. For one thing, I'm tall. And for another, I write poetry.

Not just cowboy poetry. Love poems that my crush could go crazy over. If only I could work up the courage to tell Natalia on our blind date, but I don't. Sure that she'll turn me down, I don't ask her out again. So I guess that's that.

When a rodeo rival blackmails me into writing romantic poems, I have no other choice than to play along, until I discover who they're for.

As a rodeo trick rider, I keep to myself. It's better that way around swaggering cowboys. When my sweet ol' friend Ms. Mildred sets me up on a blind date, I reluctantly say yes. I enjoy Grit's company but keep him firmly in the friend zone. I fly in the face of danger, unless it's risking my heart.

But whoa. Someone's secretly sending me love poems. And now that's about all I can think of.
