Wreathed in Shadows

Wreathed in Shadows is about a young budding mercenary sent out into the world to support a family that can no longer support themselves. The protagonist, Rose, is a headstrong woman with high ambitions of becoming a legendary Journeyman and influencing children across the realm like her idols before her.

After taking the trials to prove herself worthy of her license, she joins an adventuring crew to work with, take quests with, and travel with. The five of them bond quickly, but the politics of the realm quickly disrupt the normalcy of their lives. One of the rulers has been assassinated, their magical crown stolen, spurring the realm into motion after centuries of peace. Seeing a chance for glory, Rose drags her begrudging crew into the hunt for the stolen crown before it falls into the wrong hands, racing against other Journeymen crews that might not have the same noble intentions as her.

With one of the rulers dead, the balance of the realm has been shifted, and the peace uplifted. Strange, dark creatures are emerging from the shadows, and they are not friendly.
