False spirits are the source of many of our problems (Ephesians 6:12). If we give them a foothold in our lives, unclean spirits can whisper "wisdom from below" (James 3:14-16) through our minds and other people. If we listen and follow their teachings, we will build up idols and altars to them. This puts us on a cycle of destruction that will destroy our lives and the lives of others. We must recognize the difference between the Holy Spirit and false spirits.
