The inner light of migrants: an artist's book by Alessandro Chiodo

This "artist's book" is dedicated to refugees, migrants, stateless people, and all those who are victims of segregation, racism and xenophobia. The Earth (our home planet) and the right to inhabit it belongs to all human beings (as well as to all animals), no one can consider themselves absolute or partial and discriminating master of a natural asset as essential as the right to life and respect for human dignity.
We can no longer call a human being a foreigner. Every human being has the right to citizenship, everywhere. If the right of citizenship continued to be a privilege, humanity would rapidly regress to the instincts of survival and prevarication.
A political border cannot be "against the human" if it is, this means that the politics in the last two millennia has not matured. The nation states represent an obsolete form of government, unfit to face the new challenges of our age. It is time to start the process of converting from a "nation state" to a stateless "global nation". Our planet has never asked us to be divided into national segments. Borders exist only in our (insane) minds.
