Giving in the New Testament: Something beyond Tithe

If we are not under the Law of Moses, why are New Testament Christians subjected to payment of Tithe? Is a Christian cursed who doesn't pay tithe? How do you reconcile the idea of God cursing His children for non-payment of tithe after He redeemed them through Christ, from the curse of the Law?
This book studied the issue of tithing right from the time of Abraham and through the period of the Mosaic Law, to the New Testament to answer the above questions and more. The New Testament is governed by the Law of Christ (Rom. 8:2) which replaces the Law of Moses (John 1:17) just as the New Testament replaced the Old Testament. The New Testament did not speak about payment of tithe except where it makes a reference to it in the Book of Hebrew concerning Abraham and Levi. But the New Testament taught about giving which establish something beyond tithing.
