The BacksliderI have known Christians who have backslidden'
The book is about people who were once professing Christians, but who have since backslidden and are no longer walking with Christ. There are even Pastors in this condition. This book examines the reasons believers backslide and offers help on how to avoid growing cold in your faith.
The Christian life, like natural life, is like a race where everyone is running. While running, we encounter obstacles and challenges and some fail to finish the race, while others prevail. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Don't you know that those who run in the stadium all run, but only one wins the prize? Run to win it" (1 Corinthians 9:24). He went on to say, "I run towards the goal, to win the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Jesus Christ.".(Philippians 3:14).
Matthew 24:13 tells us "But whoever endures to the end will be saved." Reading this book will challenge and encourage you to persevere so you may finish your race. Starting but never finishing counts as nothing. Each one who reaches the finishing line will be rewarded according to their deeds.
