This is the seventh in the series of translations of 'Selected Poems' of famous
Malayalam Poets that Mr. PKN Panicker presents to the enlightened readers who may not know
Malayalam but interested to read, understand and appreciate Malayalam poetry. Poets
covered in the earlier volumes are A. Ayyappan, Vailopilli Sreedhara Menon,
P.Kunhiraman Nair, Akkitham, Vishnu Narayanan Namboosdiri and Sugatha kumara.
It is Mr. Panicker's sincere belief that transporting the works of our authors into other languages
and in particular to English is the only way to take them to the parlors of world
poetry that made Mr.Panicker to undertake this venture. Among the widely used languages
Malayalam has the 29 th position and is one among the more vibrant languages rich in
thought and expression.
