Extraordinarily rich in traditions and various plants and animals, the isthmus of Tehuantepec in southeastern Mexico is a unique region that represents a fundamental part of Mexican history and biodiversity. Humans and wildlife have coexisted for centuries; with this, legends have emerged that reflect stories of a life shared between them. This work collects part of that knowledge that, amalgamated with the author's experience and understanding of the protagonists of these short stories, becomes a document of enormous value to know not only the species of wildlife that live in this area of the coast of Oaxaca but also to learn enjoyably about their interactions and the cultural and emotional charge that surrounds their existence.
