Booker Reed and Nancy Dent form an unlikely partnership and establish Book Dent, Private Detective Agency. Their first case is the biggest story of 1953, when the world's first millionaire, Rathdowne Fairweather dies and leaves all of the Fairweather inheritance to the first of his children who can follow the clues he left in his will and find the fortune.
