Intracerebral hemorrhage, another name for hemorrhagic stroke, is a serious neurological occurrence that is defined by bleeding inside the brain tissue. Hemorrhagic stroke is distinguished from its counterpart, ischemic stroke, by the rupture of a blood artery that allows blood to seep into the brain parenchyma. Ischemic stroke is caused by a blocked blood vessel that restricts blood flow to a particular area of the brain. Increased intracranial pressure brought on by this leakage raises the risk of brain injury, disruption of neuronal circuits, and a series of other events that may culminate in serious neurological impairments.
