Ivan Gobulev, a Russian businessman is in town, and this is shocking because everyone in that town wants Ivan Gobulev dead, but why is he striding through the streets so confidently? Could it be that he has backing from really powerful people?

Alwar and his team are apprehensive of the idea that Ivan Gobulev is in town and that his appearance might have something to do with the recent strings of murders and kidnappings in town. Alwar is fueled by the drive to find his husband, he is enraged and wants to burn everything to the ground.

Alwar has to return to the secret service in order for him to be able to use their resources to track down the kidnappers, find his beloved, and stop them from causing a never-ending war. In return, he decides to work with Willis Bohely an old commander of the secret service who had at a point in time in the past, betrayed the trust of Alwar. The case at hand is beyond them, so he has to collude with his enemies one last time to finish what they started, but the enemy is not far from reach.
