Two years ago, Connor ran away from the troubles of his past and found himself in Florida. When looking for work, ninety-six-year-old Thomas Johnson took him under his wing and hired Connor to work on his orange grove.

Now, Thomas's great-granddaughter, Iris, has returned from California, causing Connor to reconsider what he's willing to risk to find love. When past lovers resurface and Thomas's health starts to decline, Connor and Iris are forced to face their fears and the demons they each ran away from all those years ago... and maybe in their hunt for strength, they'll find something worth fighting for.
