Bar Harbor, Maine - A rugged majestic coastline, an oasis of missing girls forgotten over the years.

Henry - A mysterious brooding man, a lifetime of failures, one after the other, churning away his existence the same way the strong ocean waters ate away the earth beneath the beautiful beaches surrounding us.

And me, Ryan - A young woman, my impressionable innocent mind eager to help, to soothe, and to fix the brokenness around me.

Henry intrigued me from the start. Our chance encounter on the streets of Bar Harbor catapulted our relationship down a long windy road, a road I wasn't nearly equipped to be traveling on. Henry made me question everything about myself, my wants, my needs, and my reactions. He was my lifeboat. Perhaps I should have learned to swim on my own, but when someone comes to you for help after their family has been tragically taken away from them, what choice does one have other than to help?
