The Rideshare Driver: Witness to Murder

Rideshare driver Joe Hodges drops off a passenger in a remote part of town, then pulls over to the curb to check his messages and send a text. Moments later he hears an ear-piercing scream and looks up to see the man that he just dropped off running away from two other men. One of the men catches up to the rider, and Joe watches in horror as the assailant strangles him to death.
Once the killers realize that Joe saw everything, they run toward him and he speeds away.
Having witnessed the murder of a man in cold blood, the rideshare driver knows what he must do. However, after learning the identity of one of the killers, he is not sure if he can trust the police.
What was the relationship between the rider and those who killed him? Could Joe be the killers' next target since he witnessed the murder? If so, who can he trust for help and protection?
The killers are closing in and time is running out. The rideshare driver resorts to desperate measures to stay one step ahead of those who wish him harm and to get help from someone that he can trust.
