All artworks are original illustrations by Nationally Award-Winning children's book author and illustrator Tim Thomas who served on the submarine, USS Stonewall Jackson SSBN 634.

Both missile boats (Boomers) and the fast attack submarines are discussed, and the images depict the submarine sailors that earned the right to wear the US Navy Submarine Dolphins.
