Too Depressing for Words is a romantic comedy stage play by Robin M. MacDuffie.

Frank has a problem. A writing problem. He lives through his days at a miserable job just to get home so he can write the perfect romantic comedy. Problem is, he suffers from writer's block. His heroine, Artice, who is clearly infatuated with his hero, Earnest, always seems to utter a fateful line during their time together. Yes, it's all too depressing for words, and that fact shuts Frank down completely. What's a poor, lonely lovelorn writer to do? Get the girl, of course! And so, he does. Because as Frank's frustration with his daily life and his writer's block take hold, a funny thing begins to happen. His failed play starts to intrude on his life until he can't tell the difference between the two any longer. And then things get weird.

Robin M. MacDuffie has been a theatrical performer, designer, manager, technician and playwright for more years than he cares to mention. He stays active in professional, nonprofessional and academic theater. There have been various productions and readings of his written work in NYC, Chicago, and in upstate NY, where he currently lives. Other published works include SAM SPADE ALWAYS GETS HER MAN, SAM SPADE AND THE VEILED LADY, SAM SPADE CAUGHT IN THE SPIDER'S WEB, DIRECTIVE∞INFINITY: THE INIFINTY TRILOGY and PLAYS 56.
