The Girl Who Found Her Voice Through Therapy is a story of Nickealia's encounter with grief and pain through the loss of her father when she was only 6 years old. Born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica, Nickealia was left to struggle with her mom who was also struggling with grief; and the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing what to do to help her daughter.

Through the recommendation of a friend, Nickealia's mom introduced her to therapy, where she learnt how to overcome grief, pain, anxiety, anger, and low self-esteem. It took some time, but very soon Nickealia found her voice again. She has since become a source of inspiration to her friends, classmates, and even a voice of encouragement though her annual virtual presentations to schools in the USA.

This series is a gentle reminder to children, parents, and guardians alike, that there is life after loss. Whether you are struggling with the loss of a father, mother, sibling or friend, therapy is a powerful tool that can assist in taking your voice, life, and joy back.
