The Last of the Prometheans

Now Charles has gone, and another failed transfer. And an exasperated Pietro asks himself, why? Again. He needs this, and soon. His body is broken and getting worse and he can see no future for himself without it.
He knows it should work, it did work, but he doesn't know what's going wrong, yet somehow he believes that Marlene knows. What is she hiding? And would she even help him? And even then, if he could get himself transferred into a Body, could it be done before the government steps in and takes control, for their own purposes?
