Hi! I'm Stevie Glenn, a regular classroom instructor, turned substitute teacher. I was tired of all the struggles that a regular classroom teacher faces daily. Curriculum development, lesson planning, administrative deadlines, and standardized test coverage were the reasons for my choice. Burnout knocked at my door relentlessly.
As much as I tried not to take the job home, my efforts failed. I was done with teaching when I moved from Milwaukee to Minnesota.

Instead of teaching, I worked on various temp assignments including Mortgage and insurance before I decided to give substitute teaching a try in 2008.

What I learned about this type of teaching transformed my life forever. My goal in this book is to share my experiences and offer highly effective techniques and strategies for mastering the art of substitute teaching.
Nearly sixteen years of substitute teaching for different districts in the state of Minnesota has equipped me with techniques and strategies that will allow aspiring substitutes to take full advantage and control of the profession and thrive to new levels of academic excellence.
