Divine Burden: Gunner's Diary, 101 Miracle Missions

Divine Burden is the remarkable story of my Uncle "Jack" Taylor who miraculously survived 101 bomber combat missions from the early days of the WWII until being wounded a third time and returning home to the love of his life, Pat.

Divine Burden explores the context of the war experience and the many deadly factors conspiring against aviators in Europe and Rommel's North Africa. The book also contains a transcription of my Uncle's wartime Combat Log, describing daily activities, the reality of combat, and the grinding losses he witnessed. Finally, the book is an exploration of the enigmatic nature of momentous events and how they travel through time and families.
