The Knights of Montiseraan have new liaison at the Vatican. Cardinal Dante Giordano has little use for the Hounds of God, but after letting them idle for eighteen months he has finally given them a mission; steal the recently discovered body of Nimrod, first king of the world. Daniel Fontaine doesn't much like the idea of his Hounds being delegated to grave robbing, but orders are orders when they come from the Vatican. When Daniel discovers Cardinal Giordano has sinister plans for the body of Nimrod and has ordered the eliminations the Hounds after the completion of their mission, Daniel begins a race against other nations eager to exploit the DNA of the discovered king and a looming war in the middle east. The Hounds aren't going to recover the body of Nimrod however. They are going to destroy it so the world will not have to face the danger of resurrected Nephilim DNA. Tomb of the King is the conclusion (perhaps) of the Hound of God series.
