Jenny Clover comes from a very long line of magical folk who emigrated to America during the Irish famine years. Eventually, her ancestors settled in a rural Texas community where they live today.

It has always been easy hiding her and her family's mystic powers since using them would cause attention they don't need. Especially when their biggest problem is watering livestock and no amount of magic Jenny and her aunts and uncles possess can undo a drought.

When she mysteriously wins a contest for a soap company in Fermanagh County, Ireland, and the money that comes with it saves the family farm, Jenny is understandably overjoyed. She also wins an all-expense trip to Ireland and she can't wait to get to the homeland of her forebears.

Where one problem ended, however, an even bigger one presents itself in the form of The Honorable Declan Tyrnan Shea, lately bestowed with his father's title as The Baron of Clanshea.
