Elise Melrose (25) readies to give her dreams life as her P.I. license arrives in the mail. After being rejected from the police academy, her life as a personal trainer left her with a lot to be desired. Being a hero wasn't always her dream, but after a traumatic experience when she was only 9, it's one of the few things (aside from working out) she can focus on.

She bites off more than she can reasonably chew with her first case: a missing woman who just so happens to be part of her past. The case takes her down alleyways and in buildings she has not, and would not normally venture into. Luckily, she finds help in an unlikely place...
