He has become an urban legend across his home town of Astoria, Oregon. Kenneth 'Kurt' Crawford was known to all in Astoria as the man who conquered the Pacific, providing a significant portion of the fish that his coastal home town desperately relied upon on for numerous occasions. However, his fame came to a sudden close twenty years ago, when his beloved wife, Joline, passed away. He has become a recluse ever since, and many wondered if he was alive at all. However, in a surprising stroke of courage, Kurt recently returned to the public eye, vying to get his beloved boat taken back into his private domain and out onto the sea again for one last journey, knowing that his time is quickly running out. But, deep down, he knows well that something lurks in the depths of the ocean and his mind.
