The Silenced: A Kate Rossi Mystery

Kate never wanted to practice law with her father in their small hometown. Instead, still grieving the death of her mother, she landed a prestigious job with a corporate law firm in New York City. But when her father is hospitalized, she steps in to cover her father's court cases while he recovers, working from his small office in upstate New York.

Without any courtroom experience, she struggles to represent five-year-old Megan in a custody case, and 14-year-old Rose, an uncooperative teen who faces incarceration. Kate juggles her schedule between visiting her father in the hospital, flirting with an old friend, and covering court dates, anxious that her time away from the New York firm is jeopardizing her career.
