The Perfect Storm

In The Perfect Storm, author Lea Stublarec describes the triumphs, challenges, and joys experienced by veteran mothers who raised successful, gifted daughters in our anti-intellectual, patriarchal society. The often-neglected stories of these mothers who have "been there and done that" are especially invaluable for women currently facing the challenge of nurturing female genius. The Perfect Storm is the first book in the trilogy, Legacy: Mothers of Gifted Daughters Share Their Wisdom. This book explores the challenges forty-three mothers encountered on their off-road parenting journeys with their gifted, neurodiverse offspring. Given that knowledge is power, their experiences will help demystify the terrain for younger mothers while acknowledging that the parenting journey each mother embarks on with her gifted daughter will be uniquely her own.
