Meraki seamlessly picks up where Ibaarat left off, but in Meraki, the evolution of the person and the poet, Vikram Gill, is evident from the very first line.

While Ibaarat brought us the passion and novelty of a first-time poet fulfilling a lifelong dream, Meraki takes a more emboldened stand. The poet, now more confident in his art, more enlightened in his manner of storytelling and more comfortable in his sharing of personal events, does not hold back.

Vikram boldly expresses his feelings towards relationships and the lives of people around him, while humbly acknowledging the unknowns and seeking answers to the aspects of different relationships (love, parenthood, friendship etc.) that he is yet to fully understand.

As an accomplished poet, Vikram uses the richness and many textures of the language to sublimely convey his thoughts in his Ghazals (poems) and yet, the reader easily finds the common threads in their day-to-day life and the shared complexities of their relationships.
