Tohfaa Shaadi Ka

Tohfaa Shaadi Ka is a collection of tiny stories from my courtship, honeymoon and first year of marriage, and is a gift which I gave to my wife in three parts: 'Haseen Mulaqaton Ke Silsile' on our wedding day, 'Ajab Safar Mein Gajab Humsafar' on our first wedding anniversary and 'Pehle Saal Ke Samachaar' on our second wedding anniversary respectively.

I promised her during our first few meetings to write a book on memories of our courtship and gift her. So I went ahead and tried to write some of our memories in the form of tiny stories. I wrote it as of my best I could write. I gifted her hand-written colorful notes on our wedding day where every note was telling a moment we both cherished together.

She read every story one by one for me; she loved it. At the same time, my stories felt so authentic when she gave them her voice. She shared her willingness to cherish our honeymoon and first-year memories as well in the form of tiny stories, I knew the best way to do it.

This story is written in Hinglish (the way we speak in our day-to-day life) to keep it as simple as possible.
