As college graduation approaches for Wyra Wan, an ancestral curse activates on her twenty-first birthday. Scared of life's uncertainties and feeling disconnected, the curse creates more suffering that leaves her body inflamed. Despite an unsuccessful attempt to end her life, Wyra finds herself on a journey to work with three unconventional teachers who bring her darkest demons and deepest fears to light.
