The Non-Dalit writers have made enormous contributions as social reformers and scientific humanists to Indian literature in English by adding Dalit consciousness to it. These writers have presented the painful and realistic picture of the so-called Indian society on the best possible scale. As the title Far from Reality: A Critique of Dalit Consciousness in Non-Dalit Writers, the author's focus is to bring out the significant role of these writers in sensitizing the nation on the issue of Dalit consciousness.
