The Elves of Valin: Elfin Gifts Book 1

This book weaves an engaging world for children with a message for appreciating the environment, temperance in behavior, and integrity of spirit. My community of elves are committed to helping Mother Earth - even if that means intervening in disastrous human affairs. The elves of Valin blend qualities of traditional lore to create a magical setting that is familiar and engaging at the same time.

Belin - half human/half elf - exceeds the powers, skills, and abilities of adult elves from before the age of two. She struggles through the confusion of trying to establish herself in two worlds: healing the sick alongside her mother in the five human lands and in Valin, and protecting humans from a warring overlord with dad. She has many adventures, but remains meek and humble of heart. The most difficult challenge she faces is trying to understand why some humans are terribly evil, and how she and her people - both human and elf alike - can stand up for what is right.
