Sunshine is a Thing I Love

Turning 25, I did not know I would be starting one of the hardest years of my life. I suffered an incredible amount of loss, in many different ways - all of which led me to reflect on my life. I started reading through all of my old journals, starting in elementary school. Each entry, mending a piece of me that had been broken. I started collecting them, editing the poems, and bookmarking the sketches, categorizing each one into the five stages of grief. Not in chronological order, but in the order of my healing process, which I now share with you. Come with me as I deal with my grief out in the open, raw and untouched, baring my soul to the public. I am sunshine, and this is my story.
