Waking Salus

When Chloe Chadwick decided to move to her birthplace, the magically hidden island of Salus, she thought her life would calm down. She was wrong.

First, she's attacked by someone wanting an inheritance she knows nothing about. Then, after returning from Boston, she realizes disaster has struck the island while she was gone. Everyone on the island has fallen victim to powerful magic which has locked them all into a deep, unnatural sleep.

Once again, she's caught in the middle of a mystery, only this time she's on a very literal deadline. She must use everything she's learned about her powers in order to stay awake and recruit help. Along with the shapeshifter sheriff and her witch boyfriend, she has only days to figure out what's going on or she'll lose every person on the island she now calls home.
