The Applied Scrum Master

STEM salary without the STEM education? This entry-level book introduces and discusses the little known occupation of Scrum Master mostly available in Information Technology companies. The role is an expert in Scrum knowledge, which is certifiable with just a two day course and short exam. The Scrum master helps the team use Scrum, acts as a servant-leader for whatever they need done, and often receives a wide range of differing responsibilities, depending on the company. A quick search online as of writing shows that there are currently over 115k positions available in LinkedIn alone with the average salary being roughly $100k to $118k, varying by location and website.

I discovered this role while expecting to pursue a different career in IT. I've had a very successful track record with improving teams ever since committing to the role. This book provides an applied knowledge of the Scrum process and successful mindset when interacting with development teams. My intent with this book is to provide an experienced understanding of how the role operates to create confidence in performing the role as an entry level Scrum Master. My hope is for others to be successful in changing the trajectory of their life as well, as I did unintentionally.
