The world is a strange place, and is getting all the stranger, and sometimes we learn that the monsters are real, and so are the heroes. The Nameless Knight watches over his family, Zach and Gessa have grown up, and the Lich and necromancy threaten to bring the world to destruction. This is a prequel and a conclusion book in one. The first story portrays the birth of the Nameless Knight's world, and also its doom. Floyd, a young man whose body is altered and becomes a Shazian, grapples with his newfound telepathy as deep dwellers from the water are awakening. In the second story, the Lich, the sinister monster of old, is back from the grave, and threatens a young woman named Gessa and her entire world with unlife. She, and all her family, must, if not defeat, survive the destruction of the world. The Nameless Knight leads an army of mercenaries, riding forth on his motorcycle, lance couched, to defend the world from Death itself. This is the fourth book in the TNK saga, after The Nameless Knight, The Nameless King, and Necromancy, Life after Death.
