Raising Kings: Book of Poems

Raising Kings: Book of Poems is a collection of creative writing that explores the black male experience in America. The poems reflect the struggles plaguing African American men while commending their strength and resilience. The poems celebrate culture, family, and unity and the importance of black men embracing the King inside them.

Raising Kings is the third poetry book by Author Sharika K. Forde, the mother of four sons. She has also published a memoir and a collection of children's books inspired by her grandkids. Her son, Jaquan, has also contributed his poetry to Raising Kings.
