Visible and/or hidden scars will remain and serve as daily reminders of where we have been in the past. Scars and wounds are a part of us, yet they don't have the power to control or determine what our next steps will be moving forward. All new choices, and who or what we choose to follow after or give our attention to in the present and future, will be ours alone.

Although the author has stumbled, fallen, and made mistakes during her journey through life, God proved to be faithful to His promises by being loving, gracious, and forgiving as He welcomed her back to Him. Making the next day be better than the day before is a mantra she chose to adopt every day. Life lessons continue to teach and, through writing this creative and inspirational memoir, the author became able to remember those wisdom-filled lessons well.
