Tommy's Different Day by Kathleen Barnum

For sensitive three-year-old Tommy, some things-like loud noises

or singing-are Too Much. Other things, like his stuffed animal

collection and outdoor play-are Just Right. When Tommy's

preschool cancels because of snow, it almost feels like Too Much.

But when Mommy suggests a trip to the zoo in the snow, it seems

Just Right. Tommy's Different Day is a simple story for preschoolers

that shows how a sensitive, neurodivergent child negotiates what

can be a very overstimulating world.
