Snakebait Loves Shortbread

Heath was a nonstop pest, king of pranks, and detention-loving jerk during all our high school years. And now, after twenty-three years of no contact, he wants to reconnect with me to prove that he is a changed man. And that I no longer need to see him as an enemy but as a potential soulmate.

I'm paranoid since I just found out that we are in the same wedding party, which means another humiliating incident is surely on its way. How can I look past the barrage of bad memories? I still feel like a sitting duck in the line of pranking fire.

But the thing is that I'm feeling stuck and craving a new adventure in life. And it goes without saying that Heath was the embodiment of adventure--not to mention very cute. I'd be a fool to deny him that... or am I just falling for another trap?
