One of three novellas in the Romancing the Dog series. Beth loves dogs, especially her big Malamute, ChiChi, and her boyfriend, Dan, loves golf. He talks Beth into taking golf lessons in Palm Springs together while she's between jobs. When he drops out of the lessons, Beth is left to spend hours alone with her handsome golf instructor, Jake, who steals her heart. Dan fights back with an engagement ring, and Beth gets her dream job back in Seattle. Are a ring, a job, and 1,200 miles enough to keep Jake and Beth apart?
