Tales From the Dougside's Horrible Book Of Horrors: Buffalo ComiCon Edition

32 pages of comics and illustrations personally handpicked by creator Douglas Arthur from the archives of his acclaimed comic strip Tales From The Dougside. This sampler is being published in conjunction with a larger compendium book entitled, Antisocial Lawnmower. The book is scheduled to make its public debut at the Buffalo ComiCon on 10/20. Tales From the Dougside was first published in the pages of Generation Magazine on the University Of Buffalo campus in February 1988 and later moved to Nightlife Magazine in 1992 where it enjoyed a 6 1/2 year run. Between 1995 and 1997 4 book collections of the strips were produced and sold in local Buffalo comic shops and conventions. In 2001, the books were chosen to be part of an exhibit on underground publishing in Buffalo by the curator of the prestigious Poetry And Rare Books Collection at the University Of Buffalo. Horrible Book Of Horrors Book 2 marks the third book collection published in 2013, the first books since 1997. It features a greatest hits subset of Tales From the Dougside strips with a horror theme. Nothing escapes Mr. Arthur's keen wit, from Sy Sperling, to Alien 3, to Godzilla. The spotlight, though, is the 13 part dramatic serial Just One Match, about a pyromaniac who wants to save the world one fire at a time. Also included is a new intorduction and a brand new painted wraparound cover. This collection is completely different from the FantaCon Special Edition, so collect them both!
