Revolution of Consciousness

Our planet and civilization in dire peril an intellectual and spiritual challenge a generation awakened to its transcendent fate Humanity has been warned: time is running very short to respond effectively to the perils of the uncontrolled heating of the Earth and a subsequent climate catastrophe! This leads to the question: Why Why would a species capable of such complex technological innovation, create such a dilemma for itself and the rest of life? In one word: consciousness. We carry survival motivations of consciousness from our evolutionary ascent. The ego, or sense of self, is at the heart of the matter. The more captured an individual is by the ego the more narrow is their world view. The big picture is not being considered effectively, this myopic view is held by too many and leads to our dysfunctional industrial behavior. Worldwide the planet suffers greatly for this. What is needed is for an effective few to transcend this myopic consciousness level to what some consider a spiritual level or realm where a much larger understanding of creation emerges. Ecological Wisdom is one of the fundamental qualities a person acquires. For some it is an epiphany. Our world desperately needs this effective few perhaps 4% or 5% of us, to awakened and with vigor lead the rest away from the destructive path we are currently on. This is one story of how this revolution of consciousnesses might occur.
