Dear Mother/Love, Max are letters my father wrote to his mother during WWII. These 115 letters span three years from his time on 7 air bases in the US to the Pacific Theatre. His desire was to be a bomber pilot, but had to drop out because of a severe sinus condition. However, he was trained in radar and eventually got to use these skills with the 22nd Bomb Group in the Pacific. His letters are honest, straightforward, amusing at times, probing, philosophical and full of as much detail as eventual censorship allowed. They are letters full of love and caring for family, his fellow soldiers and country through not only war, but personal joy and loss.
