The Zimbabwean Enlightenment gives people a glimpse into my vision for a better Zimbabwe and Africa at large. There is an opportunity for an Africa-wide shift, including Africans in unfriendly societies outside the continent. The time is ripe for the Great Track back to Africa to re-establish the continent as a powerhouse it is supposed to be. There is need for a mindset shift and to stop looking at African problems in silos created to divide and rule the continent. A cross-functional approach in all facets of life is key to establish a United Africa. This book is a first of a two-part publication where I will show how we can move from where we are, to where we all want to be as a continent, not forgetting Africans scattered across the globe. But as they say, charity begins at home. The first book explores the first 40 years after independence of Zimbabwe. Most people have been telling me about the risk associated with my publishing my book. For me, there is no risk, but I am doing what most of you want to do but still live in fear. If not me, then who?-Do we allow for new ideas in our current society?-Are we open for a different point of view?-Are we willing to co-exist with these differences?-Are we ever going to stop living in the past? It looks like all arguments and justifications for current actions are based on the past and not on current or future objectives?-When are we going to stop doing the same thing and expecting different results?-How are we going to rebuild the sleeping giant which was once muted to become the first industrialized nations in Africa in the early 90s?-How are we going to unit Zimbabwe and Africa to bring back the glory days?
