New town - new me! After a chaotic few years, I'm escaping the big city and retreating to rural New Zealand's beautiful countryside where life is simple, wholesome, and oh dear... Someone's gone and murdered the mayor.

Not to worry. I'm sure it's nothing to panic about. Picturesque small towns broil with intrigue under their pleasant exteriors, right? It's nothing to do with me.

Until it is.

When a group of concerned citizens find the mayor's heavily pregnant prize Ragdoll cat in my flat, suspicion falls on me. I am from the big city after all. I could be just the sort of person to go around murdering mayors, for all they know.

To prove my innocence and keep from being run off by small mobs of artisanal cheese makers, fancy cat breeders, and a rogue knitting circle, I have to find who actually killed the mayor.

Someone in Custardy is guilty, and I won't stop until they're brought to justice.
